By accessing and using PetCoParenting ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

PetCoParenting is a web-based platform designed to help co-parents coordinate shared pet care. Our service includes:

• Shared custody scheduling and calendar
• Expense tracking and splitting
• Pet profile management
• Digital pet care agreements
• Reminders and notifications
• Document storage for vet records

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Be responsible for all activities under your account
• Not create multiple accounts or share accounts with others

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

6. Payment and Subscriptions

PetCoParenting offers both free and premium subscription plans:

• Free Plan: 1 pet profile, basic scheduling, 1 agreement, up to 10 expenses
• Premium Plan: $4.99/month for unlimited pets, agreements, and expenses
• Billing: Monthly recurring charge processed via Stripe
• Cancellation: Cancel anytime from your account settings. No long-term contracts.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time with 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers.

Stripe Payment Processing: All payment information is processed by Stripe, our payment processor. PetCoParenting never stores your credit card information. By using the Service, you agree to Stripe's terms and conditions.

7. Pet Agreements Disclaimer

PetCoParenting does not provide legal advice. The pet agreements generated by our platform are for informational purposes only and may not be legally binding in your jurisdiction.

• Agreements are designed to create a shared understanding between co-parents
• We do not guarantee legal enforceability of any generated documents
• For legally binding agreements, consult with a licensed attorney
• PetCoParenting is not liable for disputes arising from use of generated agreements

8. Co-Parent Relationships

When you invite a co-parent to share pet care responsibilities:

• You are responsible for only inviting people you know and trust
• Shared data (pet profiles, schedules, expenses) will be visible to both parties
• Either party can remove themselves from a shared pet relationship
• PetCoParenting is not responsible for disputes between co-parents

9. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (pet profiles, photos, documents). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of PetCoParenting and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, you may request export of your data within 30 days.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall PetCoParenting be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
